Seat covers may combine coated materials, leather, textiles, foam and backing layers. Ask which material is used on each panel and request a physical sample. A leather-look surface or a trade name is not a complete composition statement.
Choose requirements around your market: touch, colour, maintenance, appearance and budget. If abrasion resistance, colourfastness or another performance claim matters, agree the test method and request evidence for the selected material.
Record the sample reference, colour code and acceptable finish in the order. Confirm any change of material before production, and keep the approved sample for comparison.
